Quelque part dans les murs immenses et labyrinthiques de la Fondation, un dossier est classé au mauvais endroit. Une sauvegarde se corrompt. Un budget est réduit. Une anomalie de faible priorité disparaît du jour au lendemain. Se résoudre à une politique de laisser-aller devient acceptable, faute d'autres solutions viables.

Qui prête attention à ces détails ? Qui en garde la trace ?

La Série SCP perdue s'intéresse précisément à cela : ce qui est perdu. L'interprétation de ce concept est entièrement libre, cependant une approche qui donnerait naissance à des récits ayant tout à fait leur place dans la série principale est à éviter. Expérimentez. Produisez des choses étranges et inhabituelles. Laissez cours à l'anormal.
